A relationship dating back to 2012

The relationship between the Mason Family and Live Different goes back to 2012 when a group of families and friends from Winnipeg came on a Build Trip to the Dominican Republic. Many of the volunteers who participated also took a day trip to Haiti to see some of the ongoing projects.

School Visits will take place Mar. 12-15, 2019

If your school would like to host a visit, apply now, and a Winnipeg Blue Bombers player could visit your school to speak with your students about the importance of preventing bullying as well as building empathy and respect. Deadline for applications is March 4th 2019. Selected Schools will be notified March 6th, 2019.

Samantha Mason Friendship Award

The Samantha Mason Friendship Award was created by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in memory of Samantha Mason, who was a victim of bullying at her school in Winnipeg. Nominate a young person who has taken action in her or his school or community to eliminate bullying by embracing the core values of our Canadian Centre for Child Protection/Blue Bombers Kindness Pledge:

  • I have the power to make a difference. I will not be a bully or a bystander.
  • I can help change the way others are treated in my school, my community and online.
  • Everyone is worthy of friendship, support and respect, therefore, I will choose to share kindness and hope instead of hate and hurt.
  • I have the power to change the story from hate to hope

Together, we can do this!
