About The Angels Of Compassion Foundation

“Angels of Compassion” The Samantha Mason Foundation was formed in memory of our daughter Sam, who lost her battle with mental illness and depression, taking her own life in May of 2015. Sam was the victim of school bullying, which over time stripped her of her innocence, self-confidence, and ultimately her will to live. Please click on this video from the inaugural Samantha Mason Foundation Gala in 2021 to learn more about Sam, we miss her greatly.

Suicide is the second most common cause of death for Canadian youth aged 15-24, and nine times more prevalent in remote Indigenous communities than in urban regions. The Samantha Mason Foundation works with various youth organizations across Canada to help identify kids in crisis, advocate on their behalf, and provide the support needed to achieve positive outcomes.

The Samantha Mason Foundation has achieved much in its short existence, but there is much more to do. Our goal is to maximize every single dollar that flows through the Samantha Mason Foundation to reach youth who desperately need help. Thank you for your interest and for learning more about the Samantha Mason Foundation. If you would like to get involved with us, we would be honoured to have you as a partner and a friend.  They say it takes a village to raise a child, come join our village in support of youth mental wellness initiatives, empowering youth to write the next chapter of their story rather than its ending.

“Every child deserves someone whose eyes light up when they enter the room.”  – Dr. Jean Clinton, Child Psychiatrist
